EU F-Gas Regulation Handbook 2024
The World’s first HFC phase-out
The European Union’s revised F-gas Regulation, which came into force in March 2024, will support decarbonisation goals and drive innovation and green investment across a wide range of sectors, including heat pumps, the cold chain, healthcare and more.
It is an integral part of the EU Green Deal and is expected to avoid approximately 500 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalence (CO2e) by 2050.
EIA and seven partner organisations – 2C, Climate Adviser’s Network, EEB, DUH, ECODES, Legambiente and Zero – have launched the 2024 EU F-Gas Regulation Handbook.
Translated into Romanian, Italian, Spanish and German, the handbook outlines key measures within the Regulation and highlights recommendations aimed at manufacturers, installers, end-users, the European Commission and member states needed to ensure its success.
