Following the publication of our 2021 report Vietnam’s Footprint in Africa, which exposed the involvement of Vietnamese criminal networks in smuggling wildlife from Africa to Vietnam, EIA conducted follow-up research and an investigation in Vietnam in 2024 to assess developments three years after our original findings.
