Joint NGO Submission During Public Consultation on the F-Gas Regulation

A joint submission by EIA, European Environmental Bureau, Greenpeace European Unit and World Wide Fund for Nature of comments on the public consultation on reducing fluorinated gases (F-gases) under the European Union F-Gas Regulation.

In 2006, the EU adopted the F-Gas Regulation with the primary objective of reducing the emissions of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) and other fluorinated greenhouse gases covered by the Kyoto Protocol.

We believe the Regulation should be revised to prohibit the placement on the market  of HFC technologies and products as soon as possible and at the latest by 2020.
