Catalysing Pre-2020 Mitigation Action:
Phasing Down HFCs & Reducing Methane Emissions
Wednesday November 13, 2013
11.30 – 13.00 CET
In the midst of international stagnation and uncertainty, significant and near-term strides can still be made towards cutting harmful pollution and closing the gigatonne gap. The key is through actionable solutions on short-lived climate pollutants (SLCPs) such as hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) and methane.
Representatives from the Environmental Investigation Agency and the BlueGreen Alliance will be discussing their efforts to address these pollutants, respectively, through tangible, policy solutions and on-the-ground projects that are quickly gaining momentum.
Featuring . . .
Mark Roberts, Senior Counsel and International Policy Advisor, EIA
Anna Lesnodorska, External Relations Officer, UNIDO
Markus Kurdziel, Team Leader Climate Change Mitigation, GIZ
Michael Williams, Director of Policy and Legislation, BlueGreen Alliance
Brad Markell, Executive Director, AFL-CIO Industrial Union Council
