Whale advocates condemn start of Norwegian hunt

A coalition of international whale protection organisations today condemned the start of Norway’s 2017 whaling season. The coalition believes the hunt could result in the cruel slaughter of up to 999 minke whales, a self-allocated quota more than 100 higher than that set by the Norwegian Government in 2016

Fish buyers: Is your seafood tainted by blood of whales?

Animal welfare and conservation groups are advising major seafood buyers attending the 2013 European Seafood Exposition and Seafood Processing Europe Convention in Brussels to be aware that there are whalers in their midst, and that the seafood they are considering purchasing may be “tainted by the blood of whales”
