The cosmetics industry has submitted a statement to the European Commission objecting to the scope of the UK Government's plan to introduce a legislative ban on plastic microbeads. As a member of the Microbeads Coalition we object to limiting the ban since damaging microplastics would continue to flow into the sea.

The vision lays out 10 principles, the ultimate goal being ‘a future free from plastic pollution’. It represents the first step in a global movement to change society’s perception and use of plastics
