Our generous friend and supporter Gary Hodges is once again using his wonderful drawings to raise money for EIA.
All prints on are personally signed by the artist, many of them are very special numbers and some are co-signed by either Virginia McKenna OBE or Rula Lenska, adding to their value and collectability.
The two unframed embellished prints are:
- Elegance (serval cat), special last number in edition 850/850 and co-signed by Virginia McKenna OBE and Rula Lenska;
- Caracal, number 220/1,100 co-signed by Rula Lenska.
It’s incredible to think that the timeless Virginia McKenna, world famous actor and co-founder of Born Free, is 90 this year. In 2004, she was awarded an OBE for services to wildlife and the arts. Virginia loves Gary’s art and has co-signed many of his prints over the years to help raise money for wildlife.
Celebrated actor Rula Lenska is an avid collector of Gary’s art and a long-term supporter of EIA. She has co-signed hundreds of Gary’s prints to help raise money for animals. Over the past 25 years, they have experienced numerous wildlife adventures together, to Nepal, Kenya and the Galapagos Islands, and plan next year to visit Gabon to observe gorillas, forest elephants and many other species of wildlife.
The auction will launch on the International Day for Biological Diversity tomorrow (22 May) at 2pm and will close at 8pm on 8 June, which is World Oceans Day.
To bid for one of Gary’s exclusive prints, please visit the online auction site; 100 per cent of the proceeds will go to EIA UK.
