Neil Gaiman to give 2015 Douglas Adams lecture

The 13th Douglas Adams Memorial Lecture will be presented by the best-selling author Neil Gaiman.

The lecture, to be held on March 3, is held each year to raise funds for two of the charities closest to the heart of the late and much-loved author Adams, Save the Rhino and the Environmental Investigation Agency.

Neil Gaiman is the bestselling author of books, short stories and graphic novels for adults and children. The recipient of many awards, some of his most notable works include The Sandman comic series, episodes of Doctor Who, the BBC TV urban fantasy series Neverwhere and scripts for the films Beowulf and MirrorMask as well as the novels The Graveyard Book (the first book ever to win both the Newbery and Carnegie medals), Coraline, American Gods and The Ocean at the End of the Lane, the UK’s National Book Award 2013 Book of the Year. He worked with Douglas Adams when he wrote Don’t Panic: The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy Companion (1987).

Born in England, Neil now lives in the US with his wife, the musician and writer, Amanda Palmer. His latest short story collection, Trigger Warning, was published in February.
